| Successful debut for Texprocess with 16,000 international trade visitors |

High level of internationality: over 50 percent of decision makers from outside Germany The overwhelming majority of trade visitors – 95 percent – satisfied with Texprocess
Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt: “The range of products to be seen at Texprocess was very well received by trade visitors, and not just visitors from the apparel industry but also those from the automobile and furniture industries. The exhibitors were extremely pleased with the high level of internationality and decision-making authority of the trade visitors.” For members of VDMA Garment and Leather Technology, which is also the conceptual partner of the event, the première of Texprocess exceeded all expectations. Commenting on this, Elgar Straub, General Manager of VDMA, said, “The combination of Texprocess and Techtextil is exactly what the sector needed and this combination proved to be a great success among both exhibitors and visitors. The première has shown that the Texprocess concept is the way forward. And the positive atmosphere prevailing here is sure to be reflected in outstanding orders.” 95 percent of trade visitors said they were satisfied with the range of products to be seen at Texprocess. This was confirmed by Thomas Rasch, General Manager of the GermanFashion association: “All of our members were most impressed by the broad range of products at the fair – great to see and highly successful. An excellent debut.” This opinion was seconded by the European Apparel and Textile Confederation (Euratex). General Manager Francesco Marchi said, “The combination of Texprocess and Techtextil is a convincing approach that makes it possible to bring together the entire textile value chain – from industrial applications to research projects – at the same time and place. We are looking forward to the next event, which will again demonstrate how innovative and future-oriented this sector is.” A great success was the IT Market Place, Network@Texprocess, in Hall 4.0. The approx. 60 IT exhibitors at Texprocess were very pleased with the quality and quantity of visitors, especially with the response from East Europe and the Russian Federation. There was also an excellent reaction to the Texprocess Forum and the high-grade lectures on sourcing, sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Altogether, 943 participants attended the 42 lectures, which were spread over all days of the fair. The Texprocess Forum was organised by the Dialog Textile Apparel association in cooperation with the GermanFashion association, Euratex and its international counterpart, the International Apparel Federation (IAF). Anna Niess, General Manager of Dialog Textile Apparel: “We are delighted with the wonderful echo from Texprocess Forum. It was an outstanding forum that promoted the exchange of ideas and opinions on an international plane.” Over 60 companies from 19 countries made presentations at Texprocess Source it!, and they were satisfied with the quality and the concept of the event. The three biggest national pavilions came from Mauritius, Portugal and South America. The next Texprocess will be held in Frankfurt, Germany from June 11 – 14, 2013. Texprocess Americas will make its debut from April 24 – 26, 2012 in Atlanta.
