Texprocess Innovation Award given eight times
 MESSE FRANKFURT    24 May 2011

Exhibition of the award-winning products at Texprocess

The winners of the Texprocess Innovation Award will be announced and the awards presented during the Texprocess opening ceremony on Monday, 23 May. The jury met in April and evaluated 30 entries from 25 companies in nine countries. Eight of the products were selected for the Texprocess Innovation Award, which is given for outstanding engineering achievements and product developments of Texprocess exhibitors. The award-winning innovations are as follows:

Xtreme-tech with Dyneema®
by Amann & Söhne GmbH & Co.KG

cutEXPERT ecocam
by Expert Systemtechnik GmbH

M-Type 867-190146
by Dürkopp Adler AG

iSize
by Human Solutions GmbH

Bügelformen
by GF-Garmenttec

PFAFF Powerline 3721
by PFAFF Industriesysteme und Maschinen AG

X-Feed
by Xi’an TYPICAL Europe GmbH

VETRON
by Xi’an TYPICAL Europe GmbH

The criteria for selection are that the product innovations must be really new, i.e., not have been on the market for more than two years, and offer users genuine advantages in that they improve processes, make handling easier, reduce material and manufacturing costs and increase productivity. Account is also taken of fundamental social aspects, e.g., whether the products contribute to greater sustainability and energy efficiency, and / or safety requirements, such as those in the automobile industry. The innovations can be seen in an exhibition in the foyer of Halls 5.1/6.1 throughout Texprocess.

The international jury comprised five representatives of industry and the media:

Robin Anson, Textiles Intelligence, Cheshire, UK

Josef Klein, Hugo Boss, Metzingen, Germany

Dr. Friedrich Rau, CarTrim GmbH, Plauen, Germany

Iris Schlomski, Textile Network, Duderstadt, Germany

Niki Tait, Apparel Solutions, Devon, UK
